The Mecan River Project is Underway
For the second consecutive year we joined forces with the Central Wisconsin Chapter, the Trout and Salmon Foundation and the Wisconsin DNR for a restoration project. This year it is the Mecan River near Wautoma.
The first workday was May 15th and the folks pictured to the right completed about 200' of stream bank improvements and built six lunker structures. There was more than one kind of muscle in this crowd too. The group included Sean Sullivan of the Wisconsin DNR, John Tucker-CWTU President, Grant Brown-EDTU President and Jim Budelman-Trout and Salmon Foundation Chairman.
The next workday is June 19th same location. For more information go to the CWTU website below.
