May Meeting Details

The Elliott Donnelley Chapter of Trout Unlimited will hold our May meeting on Tuesday, May 4 at Brehon Pub, 731 N. Wells Street (Wells and Superior). This will be a formal meeting, including cocktails at 5:30, dinner at 6:30, and guest speaker Cathy Sero, President of Reeling and Healing Midwest (http://www.reelingandhealing.org).

Reeling and Healing Midwest is a non-profit organization that champions fly-fishing wellness retreats for women battling and surviving cancer. Their mission is to provide participants with a one-of-a-kind experience, on and off the river, which renews their spirit and hope through the elements of fly fishing, nature, peer coaching, positive camaraderie and support. They also provide retreats for men through their partnership with Reel Recovery.

Beyond her Reeling and Healing duties and her full-time work with a private equity firm in Chicago, Cathy Sero consults and designs fly fishing wellness retreats, provides fly fishing instruction, writes for Midwest Fly Fishing Magazine and assists with the Great Waters Fly Fishing Expos. She has competed and won titles in local, state and national casting tournaments and is an outdoor photographer and avid entomologist.
