About the event
For this EDTU meeting we are taking a break from our usual venue and agenda to relax, share some fishing stories, cast a few rods, and enjoy refreshments on the Casting Pier located behind the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum.
About Our Summer Chapter Meetings:
When: First Tuesday of the month, (unless affected by a major conflict or holiday).
Location: North Pond Casting Pier. We meet out on the cement casting pier behind the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in Lincoln Park. Take the walking paths (yellow arrows on the map) to the Casting Pier entrance (red arrow on map). We are an easy-to-spot group - look for the folks with fly rods and snacks on the pier!
Agenda:
5:30pm-7:30pm: Members enjoy time on the casting pier by sharing snacks, beverages, and fishing stories. Anglers bring their fly rods to get some practice casting in - feel free to bring your own rod and get some practice in! If you are new to fly fishing or don't have a rod, people are more than willing to share and give casting tips. It's a great way to learn and improve!
New Members: New members are welcome at all meetings—no advance notice is needed! Show up to the casting pier, introduce yourself, and let someone know you are new. We'll connect you with our Membership team to help you get oriented and feel at home.
