Work Days
Conservation and Stream Restoration
To support the mission and vision of Trout Unlimited, our chapter regularly participates in stream workdays and restorations. This is a fantastic way for EDTU members to make a difference and learn about the most pressing issues facing our streams and waters. Almost all of our chapter trips include a workday component to help us restore and protect the waters we fish.
In 2025, our direct participation in service projects and stream restorations will include:
-
Sand Counties, Wisconsin: Engaging in stream restoration with the Central Wisconsin Chapter of TU.
-
Northern Michigan: Contributing to the conservation of the Au Sable and Upper Manistee rivers through our partnerships with Michigan State University and Conservation Resource Alliance (CRA).
-
Driftless Region, Iowa: Active involvement in stream restoration efforts.
-
Chicago River: Participation in various river cleanups.
In addition to our active participation in service projects, we support numerous other organizations through financial contributions. In 2025 we donated funds to a coalition of conservation organizations making a land purchase encompassing a section of the Kickapoo River and Seas Branch.
