About the event

Description:

Join us this summer for our 13th year of teaching kids and adults the art and fun of casting at the iconic North Pond Casting Pier! Supported by the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum and volunteers from the Anglers Club of Chicago and the Elliot Donnelly Chapter of Trout Unlimited, our program welcomes over 1,000 new students each year.

Details:

  • Weekly Lessons: Starting Wednesday, June 5th, from 11am to 1pm, and continuing every Wednesday through August.
  • Special Event: Additional casting lessons on Thursday, June 13th, from 4pm to 8pm during the Nature Museum's popular Nature Fest.

Volunteer Opportunities:

We welcome and need volunteer instructors from our supporting clubs. If you're interested in helping out, please contact Robert Tomes at rstomes@msn.com or call/text 312-953-4821.

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to seeing you on the casting pier this season!
