Join our premier chapter work trip, a hands-on conservation experience in the beautiful Wautoma, Wisconsin area. This trip connects you to the legacy of renowned conservationists like Aldo Leopold. Work alongside the Central Wisconsin Trout Unlimited (CWTU) chapter and a highly skilled DNR crew led by Shawn Sullivan. Engage in valuable stream restoration using the latest techniques, contributing to the preservation of these vital ecosystems.


  • Conservation Work: Participate in stream restoration projects, experiencing firsthand the impact of environmental stewardship.
  • Exclusive Fishing Opportunities: After contributing to the preservation efforts, enjoy access to some of the best-kept fishing spots in the area.

The trip is conveniently located about 3 hours and 15 minutes from Chicago, an hour closer than the Driftless Area in Wisconsin.


The costs for the 2024 trip are still being finalized. Historically the cost has been $80-100 for a single room and $50-65 for a double room. Be sure to specify your accommodation preference when contacting Jeff.
